Quality Accreditation

The Company's annual surveillance assessment was performed by NQA during 3rd to 5th May 2011 inclusive. The report concluded "This surveillance assessment has demonstrated the commitment of both management and workforce"; the "QMS is compliant with AS9100 Rev B and ISO9001:2008" and "confirms effectiveness of the controls applied to ensure customer and regulatory inputs and outputs are achieved".

In addition, the following was identified as strong points:
"Committed and experienced workforce and management team"
"Excellent facilities, workshop, offices, plant and equipment"

Quality Recertification NQA

The Company's quality management system was recertified by NQA during the audit which took place from 28th to 30th April 2010. The Company were commended for its professional, friendly and open approach and on the level of experience and dedication of the staff.

Update

Business Infrastructure

Business users have been gaining experience in the upgraded ERP system since its implementation a number of months ago, the new hardware and the enhanced capabilities of the Microsoft Dynamics (AX2009) software are providing both the users and the Company with an improvement in efficiency and greater visibility.

Plant

The ISO Class 7 standard clean room acquired in June has enhanced the Company’s capabilities, has provided it with additional business opportunities and has improved the operational and working environment for current business.


Quality Accreditation

The Company’s annual surveillance visit by NQA, which was assessed against AS9101, resulted in the Company and its staff being commended for its quality management system and its application. The audit, in addition to addressing the requirements of AS9100 Rev B, assessed compliance with BS EN 9001:2008; the auditor positively recommended continuing registration and the Company subsequently received certification confirming it had been assessed and registered by NQA against the provisions of “AS 9100 REVISION B & BS EN ISO 9001:2008 in accordance with the requirements of EN 9104:2006”.

Company Update

Despite the current economic climate the Company continues to invest in its business infrastructure, plant and equipment and in its people.

Business Infrastructure

The current ERP system is being upgraded, Microsoft Dynamics AX2009 software and new hardware has been procured, the software is being configured to the business; the end of April is the scheduled release date.

Preparations for the final phase of the ERP system are at an advanced stage; the implementation will follow the upgrade, the end of May is the target date.

Plant

The capabilities highlighted in the web site are being enhanced by the acquisition of a modular clean room to ISO Class 7 standard (Class 10,000) to cater for assembly requirements within a controlled environment. The facility is scheduled to be operational by the end of May.

People

The commitment made to maintain our exceptional skill base by recruiting four personnel to undertake a modern apprenticeship in engineering in August 2008, will, as these apprentices near the end of their period of “off the job” training, be extended by the recruitment of additional apprentices in August this year.
